Information for residents and providers of rooming accommodation

During an agreement

• Entry to the resident's room
  There are rules about when a provider is allowed to enter a resident's room. There are times when a provider needs to give a certain amount of notice and when they can enter immediately.
• If things go wrong
  There are times when a provider and a resident may disagree about something. If the agreement has been broken there are steps which can be taken to help resolve the issue.
• About a notice to remedy breach (form R11)
  A notice to remedy breach is a written document warning the other person that they have broken the agreement or the law and asking them to fix the problem.
• If the resident or provider disagrees with the breach
  If a notice to remedy breach has been given to the other person and they have not fixed the problem, there are steps which can be taken to have the matter resolved.
