Getting a resident to leave

What does a provider do if they want a resident to leave?

Depending on the circumstances, the Residential Services (Accommodation) Act 2002 sets out processes that the service provider must follow if they want someone to leave. The service providers decision can be disputed by a resident through the dispute resolution process and could end up in the Small Claims Tribunal so it is important that the steps that are set out in the Act are followed. For more information refer to the Ending a Residential Service Agreement Fact Sheet.
