The RTA is committed to proactively disclosing as much non-personal information as possible to reduce the need for its clients to make a Right to Information or Information Privacy application.
The Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) can only provide access to information it holds. Options to access information include:
Applications under both the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) should be made on the approved form. Applicants can download the form or complete it online at: https://www.smartservice.qld.gov.au/services/information-requests/home.action
If you are from another organisation and would like to request RTA information under a legally enforceable right to access and/or collect information (i.e. a law enforcement agency that has powers under legislation to collect information) then refer to Information Requests from other Organisations.
Under certain conditions clients and members of the public may access personal and non-personal information held by the RTA through the RTA's Administrative Access Scheme.
