Domestic and Family Violence Notice ending tenancy

Note: this form can only be used until 30 September 2021 as stated in section 3 of the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation (COVID-19 Emergency Response) Regulation 2020.

A tenant completes the Domestic and Family Violence Notice ending tenancy when they wish to end their obligations or interest in their current tenancy and vacate the premises on grounds of domestic and family violence.

A tenant must provide the completed form to their property manager/owner alongside evidence or information supporting their circumstances. (e.g. a Domestic and Family Violence Report).

The departing tenant must provide seven days notice and pay rent until the end of the notice period. They can leave before the end of the seven days, but will not be liable for any other costs and can request their rental bond contribution (if applicable) to be refunded to them.
