The Bond Search Web Service provides joint lessors, agents, student accommodation providers and other property managers working on behalf of an organisation the ability to search for and view details for active RTA bonds that you manage. You will need to verify your identity through QDI to use this service. Once verified, you will be able to: 

• search for bond records under your management by entering the bond number, rental address or bond contributor details
• view a full list of bonds (by leaving the search criteria fields blank)
• download a full list of bonds into a CSV file. The file will include:
  • bond number
  • address
  • tenants and their contributions  
  • available bond balance  
  • weekly rent
  • date created. 

You are required to verify your identity using your Queensland Digital Identity (QDI) before you can use this service. If you do not have a QDI account, you will need to set one up to begin. You will then be prompted to provide your RTA ID number and a bond number for an active tenancy you or your organisation manage. From there, a prompt will show to request a verification code. Once actioned, it will be emailed to the primary email address associated with the organisation. 

What is an RTA ID and where can I find mine? 

An RTA ID is a unique customer number assigned to joint lessors and organisations for transacting with the RTA. We recommend you keep this number secure. Tenants and individual lessors do not need an RTA ID to use RTA Web Services.  
 
You will find your RTA ID in the welcome letter, which was sent to you when you first registered with the RTA. These emails will have been sent to the main email address which your organisation/joint lessor partnership has registered with the RTA.

Why do I need to enter a bond number? 

We ask you to enter an active bond number for a tenancy you manage as another way to match and verify your digital identity.  

The verification code, which is emailed to your organisation’s primary email address, will expire after 10 minutes.  

Only active bonds will show up when you access the Bond Search Web Service. The details shown on your screen will differ depending on whether: 

• you view the search results in your web browser 
• you choose to download a copy the list into a CSV (Microsoft Excel)

To view and download a copy of your full bond list, you need to leave the search field blank and click search.

Your session time is limited to two hours. After this time has elapsed, you will be automatically logged out and will need to log back in to continue using RTA Web Services. 

If you are unable to use RTA Web Services, you can contact the RTA and request a list of the bonds you manage through the Administrative Access Scheme. Business processing times apply.  

To use RTA Web Services you will need to verify your digital identity using your Queensland Digital Identity (QDI).
